TV

Whether it’s a Bowl game or the nightly news, Downton Abbey or The Walking Dead, most of us spend at least a few hours a week in front of the TV.

From the first broadcast on April 7, 1927 (which was reddish-colored image that could be seen on a tiny, postage-sized screen), television’s been a huge part of our culture for the better part of a century. 99% of all U.S. households have at least one television; the national average is about 3 TV sets per household. So it’s not all that surprising that our Television & Video Equipment category is a busy one. It helps, too, that technology is moving at such a rapid pace that people feel the need to frequently upgrade, so it’s possible to pick up a very recent model for a very reasonable price!
