WW FBLA EXCELS AT REGIONAL CONFERENCE

Approximately 70 members of the Western Wayne High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter recently attended the annual Regional Leadership Conference on the campus of the University of Scranton.  This conference brought together nearly 400 students from 11 area high schools in Lackawanna, Pike, and Wayne Counties for exciting competition in such events as Public Speaking, Business Ethics, and Client Service.

Western Wayne’s Marques Moore, Region 22 President, presided over the opening and business session. During the Awards Ceremony 45 WW students were recognized for their outstanding performances in the more than four-dozen competitive events.  This included 11 first-place, 5 second-place, and 11 third-place awards.

Twenty-eight of these students have now qualified for further competition at the State Leadership Conference in April in Hershey, PA where more than 4,000 students and advisers will be in attendance.  Ms. Theresa Lubash is local chapter adviser.
