Several members of the West Scranton wrestling team were recently selected to the Wrestling Coaches’ Association All-Academic Wrestling Teams, at both the District and the State levels.

Seven Invaders were selected to the 2018 District 2 All-Academic Wrestling Team.  In order to be selected, a student must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, as well as a winning percentage record of .500 or better.  The district level is open to wrestlers in grades 9-12.  West Scranton High School is proud to announce that the following students qualified for the 2018 team:

First Team: Randy Bonitz, Garrett Walsh, and Cameron Butka

Second Team: Austin Fashouer, Tyler Connor, and Jeremy Seymour

Honorable Mention: Noah Worsnick

Additionally, four West Scranton wrestlers qualified for the state level All-Academic Team.  In order to qualify, students must be in grades 10-12, maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, as well as a winning percentage record of .600 or better.  Invaders who represent West Scranton High School on the 2018 State All-Academic Wrestling Team are:

First Team: Randy Bonitz and Garrett Walsh

Second Team: Jeremy Seymour

Honorable Mention: Noah Worsnick
