Eight members of Western Wayne High School’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter were among the more than 900 members and advisers who recently gathered on the campus of Penn State University to participate in the organization’s annual State Leadership Workshop.
This workshop provided many opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills by attending a variety of workshops including entrepreneurship, business etiquette, succeeding in the FBLA competitive event program.
In addition, several activities were conducted to benefit this year’s state project, the Ronald McDonald Houses of Pennsylvania including a charity basket auction featuring more than 70 theme baskets, a dodgeball tournament, and a t-shirt sale. Nearly $6,000 was raised toward the goal of $45,000.
Attending the workshop were Ben Field, Jacob Karnick, Jeff Sauer’s, Haskey Fleming, Alaina Lengner, Madison Kornutiak, Salina Tregaskis, and Skylar Booths. Local chapter adviser, Ms. Theresa Lubash, accompanied the students.
