Approximately 150 students from nine area high schools including Western Wayne participated in the FBLA Region 22 Leadership Workshop at Carbondale Area High School.
Conducting the opening and business sessions were the regional officers—four Western Wayne students–Joseph Boyko, President; Kayla Bolduc, Vice President; Adam Curtis, Secretary; and Zachary Curtis, Treasurer.
Those members in attendance had the opportunity to attend two different workshops conducted by prominent local business leaders. These presenters included a Certified Public Accountant, the Vice President of an area bank, the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce as well as several local business owners.
In addition, a gift certificate raffle was held with all proceeds going to this year’s PA FBLA state project, Donate Life PA.
Representing Western Wayne at the workshop were the following members: Jacob Gillis, Joshua Miller, Zachary Curtis, Joseph Boyko, Brooke Enslin, Kayla Bolduc, Leanna O’Hora, Carly Swingle, Adam Curtis, Adam Vaccaro, and Will Sauers. Ms. Fran Vitovsky, local chapter adviser, accompanied the students.
