Seven students representing the Western Wayne High School’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter and the business program recently participated in an Entrepreneurial Challenge at Settler’s Inn, Hawley.
Sponsored by EconomicsPennsylvania, the purpose of this day was to provide interested students with a unique opportunity to develop a viable business idea and plan. Professor Robert Williams of Misericordia University brought his knowledge and quick wit to the day as he taught the students the ins and outs of starting a business.
The students will gather at Carbondale Area High School in March to present their business ideas in a “Shark Tank” setting.
Participating in the day were Scott Walck, Matt Russo, Jacob Gillis, Kayla Bolduc, Abby Hemmler, Bethany Giombetti and Cassie Reeke. Ms. Theresa Lubash, high school business teacher, accompanied the students.
