West Scranton’s School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Program Honors the May Students of the Month
Freshman Alexus Licata and junior Brian Martin were chosen as the Students of the Month at West Scranton High School for May 2015. One girl and one boy are selected each month from names submitted by teachers and staff as part of West Scranton’s School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Program. These are students who demonstrated positive and exemplary qualities during the month of May – academically, socially, behaviorally, or through noteworthy service to their community.
West Scranton’s School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Program focuses on qualities outlined in the acronym “P.R.I.D.E.” The program recognizes students who are prepared, respectful, involved, dedicated, andextraordinary representatives of the West Scranton High School community. In addition to honoring individual students, West Scranton will also be hosting themed “Invader Days” throughout the year, which will reward additional deserving members of the student body for showing their West Side pride on a regular basis.
