West Scranton High School students Geremia Gil and Alyvia Janes entered the 2018 Northeast Pennsylvania Regional Bridge Building Competition which was held on February 24, 2018, at the Marketplace at Steamtown in Scranton. The competition has very specific criteria that all bridges must meet in order to be included in the competition. Geremia (10th grade) placed 14th and Alyvia (9th grade) placed 10th in the loading competition. Alyvia also took first place for “Excellence in Architecture”.
