West Scranton Students Earn Awards at NEIU Computer Fair

Four West Scranton students participated in the 2017 NEIU19 PA High School Computer Fair. Three were honored with awards.  Juniors Jessica Hoban and Sara McCauley earned 3rd place for their graphic design for Hidden Heaven Pet Grooming.  Sophomores Adam Sprague and Emilia Doda each submitted entries to the computer logo contest.  Adam won 3rd place for his entry.

The Pennsylvania High School Computer Fair is an annual event that highlights Pennsylvania high school students’ application skills and computer knowledge.  Students are able to unleash their creativity, learn how to convey information more dynamically, and enhance the learning process.

The annual competition is open to students in grades 9-12 in both public and private high schools, and is sponsored by the NEIU 19.  Congratulations to all the students from West for their hard work, dedication, and creativity!

The students from West Scranton High School were assisted by Mrs. Anne McNally, West Scranton art teacher, and Mrs. Mary A. Hazzouri, technology teacher.
