West Scranton Music Department Donates to Veteran’s Memorial Park
On Tuesday, November 15, the West Scranton High School Music Department held a concert in honor of Veteran’s Day. During the performance, local veterans and servicemen were honored, including West Scranton alumni, both discharged and currently serving in the armed forces, as well as residents of the Gino J. Merli Veterans’ Center in Scranton and the VA Hospital.
On Tuesday, December 13, the committee members of the Veteran’s Memorial Park accepted a $500.00 donation check from the West Scranton High School Music Department. The donation was made from the proceeds from the Veteran’s Day Music Celebration.
