West Scranton Junior Accepted for Visitation Program of US Air Force Academy
On Sunday, April 3, West Scranton High School junior Jude Wheeler was informed of his acceptance to the visitation program for the United States Air Force Academy. The program is a preliminary step toward full acceptance into the Air Force Academy. Jude has been invited on an official visit to the academy in Springfield, Colorado later this month, where he will attend classes and participate in activities, events, and demonstrations alongside current USAF cadets.
Jude is the son of Chris and Nicole Wheeler of Scranton. He would like to express a special thanks to Lieutenant Colonel David Palmer and Cadet Christopher Ferrario for their help throughout his application process so far. Jude will participate in the upcoming visitation program at the Air Force Academy in Colorado from April 20-24. He hopes to be notified of his official acceptance to the academy by next year.
