West Scranton’s School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Program

Honors the October Students of the Month

Ninth graders Angel Ross and Adam Mangan were chosen as the Students of the Month at West Scranton High School for October 2013.  One girl and one boy are selected each month from names submitted by teachers and staff as part of West Scranton’s School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Program.  These are students who demonstrated positive and exemplary qualities during the month of October – academically, socially, behaviorally, or through noteworthy service to their community.

West Scranton’s School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Program focuses on qualities outlined in the acronym “P.R.I.D.E.”  The program recognizes students who arepreparedrespectfulinvolveddedicated, and extraordinary representatives of the West Scranton High School community.  In addition to honoring individual students, West Scranton will also be hosting themed “Invader Days” each month this year, which will reward additional deserving members of the student body for showing their West Side pride on a regular basis!
