West Scranton Biology Students Donate (and Analyze) Food
At West Scranton High School, biology students of Mrs. Amanda O’Brien got some valuable lessons in both science and community service. The classes collected and packed up a variety of donations for the local food pantry. This collection also served as a lesson in organic compounds as the students analyzed the labels of each donated item. In addition to helping others, this hands-on experience served as a review for the students’ upcoming Biology Keystone Exam.
