West Scranton Bilingual Students Excel
The Northeast Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese awarded prizes for outstanding performance to the top world language students in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The students were chosen based on their performance on the 2015 National Spanish Exam, which was administered earlier in the spring. Four students from West Scranton High School ranked among the top award recipients in the bilingual category.
They were: (L to R): Obdulia Vazquez (1st place, Level 4), Neishmy Rodriguez (3rd place, Level 4), Krystine Jimenez (3rd place, Level 2), and Natalie Olivo (2nd place, Level 2 – absent from photo).
