Elyssa Hamilton, Grade 12, has collected Jared Boxes for the past three years to brighten an ill child’s day. Over the past three year Elyssa has collected and delivered 655 boxes to ill children. The boxes contain toys, books, and fun items for the children.
Elyssa said: “This organization holds a big place in my heart. It feels good to know that these small gestures can really brighten an ill child’s day. I am thankful for everyone who has helped me make this project successful over the last three years.
Elyssa plans to be starting an internship with the Jared Box Project this summer. Her future plan is to attend the University of Colorado Boulder with a major in non-profit management.
