On Sunday, April 8th, Valley View High School Senior Samantha Human was awarded the PMEA District 9 William Gasbarro Memorial Scholarship at the Radisson in Scranton. She is one of only two seniors in all of PMEA District 9 to win the scholarship this year. The award is give to a high school senior that will be majoring in music in college and that displays outstanding leadership qualities and contributes in a multitude of ways to enrich the music program at their respective school and throughout their community. As our high school band program president and senior drum major, Samantha has displayed all of that and more. She will be attending Marywood University next year and will major in Flute performance. Congratulations Samantha!
