Valley View High School Students Participate in Pink Flamingo Fundraiser for Breast Cancer.
Micheles Ladies in Pink, a local breast cancer organization is sponsoring the Youve Been Flocked Pink Flamingo Fundraiser. Individuals donated between $10.00 and $20.00 to have pink flamingos placed in their front yard. The fundraiser is in memory of Michele Zini who passed away in 2005 from breast cancer at the age of 46. Flock pplications or tickets to the annual Michele s Ladies in Pink Fundraiser held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 2:00 to 6:00 at Fiorellis Catering in Peckville can be purchased by contacting (570)383-2031 or (570) 650-0617. Proceeds from the event are dispersed in three ways: assist local women fighting breast cancer, finance a scholarship fund for two Valley View High School Seniors, and monetary gifts made throughout the year to local families affected by cancer.
