two Valley View High School band members qualified to participate in the PMEA District 9 Band Festival

From February 12th to the 14th, two Valley View High School band members qualified to participate in the PMEA District 9 Band Festival held at Montrose Area High School. Pictured below from left to right, Micayla Matamoros went on bass clarinet and Beatrice Chindemi went on trombone. At the festival the students auditioned for a seat at the PMEA Region 4 Band Festival to be held in March. Both Micayla and Beatrice placed 2nd on their respective instruments and both qualified to move on to regionals!
