Kofi Donkor is an artist and master drummer originally from Ghana, West Africa. Kofi and his group “Sankofa” perform traditional African drum rhythms and dance, providing a glimpse of the music and culture of his native Asante people.

The Mid Valley Band Parents sponsored Kofi’s two-day visit to Mid Valley. All music students in Grades 7-12 were able to enjoy participating in the drum circle, and many were able to dance on stage during a special assembly Friday afternoon.
