Nick Biondi, Moosic, Pa., senior retail management student and golf team member at Marywood University, recently competed in the MacKenzie Tour, the Canadian PGA, where he tied for 98th in the tournament.

Mr. Biondi is planning to compete in several golf tournaments on the East Coast this summer, with the hope of earning a spot on the PGA tour. Mr. Biondi graduated from Scranton Preparatory School, where, as a member of the golf team, he placed 5th in the PIAA state championships.

Looking forward to graduating and beginning his travel for summer golf events, Mr. Biondi is planning to compete in several golf tournaments on the East Coast, with a determined goal of earning a spot on the PGA tour. Playing in a PGA tournament is something that has been a lifelong dream of Mr. Biondi and his guardian, mentor, and coach, his late grandfather, Eugene (Gino) Biondi, and of his grandmother, Rose Biondi.

Mr. Biondi’s grandfather, Gino, was the third member at Glenmaura National Golf Course, Moosic, Pa., where Mr. Biondi grew up on the game of golf, and his grandfather earned a “Perfect Attendance” parking spot that was dedicated to him at the club.

Mr. Biondi will graduate on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Marywood University’s 100th commencement ceremony.
