Students in grades five through eight at Good Shepherd Academy in Kingston recently participated in the Scripps Spelling Bee. Each homeroom held its own Spelling Bee, and the two finalists from each room participated in the School Spelling Bee.
The winner of the school competition was Pete?r Khoudary, seventh grade, of Dallas. The runner-up was Alexa Ullrich, seventh grade, of Kingston. Peter advanced to The Scripps Local Spelling Bee, which was held at The Woodlands Inn on March 6. Peter won first place and will participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. in May.
