SHENANDOAH VALLEY Hosts Bloodmobile

For the past 35 years,  the Shenandoah Valley Student Council has sponsored a blood mobile to allow students 17 years and older the opportunity to  become first time blood donors and more importantly augment the supply of blood for patients in need. This year the American Red Cross set a goal of 32 units and the students and faculty responded with 40 volunteers but six were deferred during the screening process thereby crediting the school with a total of 34 units. The Student Council will conduct another bloodmobile sometime in the spring.

Shown giving blood for the first time is Student Council member Mariah Sands. Standing (L-R) Red Cross volunteer Lisa Provau, Council members Nick Rusin, Clarence Grutza, Nick Gurski, and Faculty Advisor Anthony Pytko.
