Thirty five students listened to a presentation by Steve Voytek from Lackawanna College’s School of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The presentation, which took place at Riverside High School, introduced juniors and seniors to career and education opportunities in the gas drilling and distribution industry. This is part of a focused effort to expose students to high paying skilled careers with 2 years of post-secondary education or less. Other presentations included Lackawanna Co. CTC Licensed Practical Nursing program, Lackawanna College’s Police Academy, Empire Beauty School, and local trade union apprenticeship programs.
