Riverside’s Junior Senior High School, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students recently attended the CPA Passport to Opportunity event at King’s College.  Every year, the local Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) host Accounting Career Day programs across the state. The program is a one day event that invites students to learn about the diverse career paths in accounting first hand from local CPAs. Students are also exposed to a student board who discussed college life and what it means to major in accounting.  “This event is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to learn the different career opportunities available by majoring in accounting. High school students are exposed to a college student’s perspective of what college life is all about. ” stated Ms. Barucky, Riverside’s Business Education teacher.
