The Ninth Annual Faculty VS Seniors Flag Football game is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25, 2014. The game will be held at Riverside Veteran’s Memorial Stadium at 7:00 PM. The game is being played to sponsor The St. Patrick’s Food Pantry in West Scranton. Admission to the game is at least one canned or non-perishable food item. Come and watch as the Defending Champions, The Faculty, take on the Class of 2015.
The Faculty vs. Senior game started nine years ago as a fundraiser to help needy families during the busy holiday season. By charging canned food goods and non-perishable food items as admission, The Riverside School District can collect a lot of food to help those who are less fortunate. Over the past nine years, The Faculty v Senior Flag Football Game has produced over 25,000 items of canned and non-perishable food items to donate to the local food pantries.
