Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books to celebrate reading with young people.
Riverside High School’s annual celebration of Read Across America will be held on Monday, March 2. Planned activities include our annual Door Decorating Competition, Trivia Bowl, and Junior High Poster Contest. Riverside High School’s Drama club will visit the elementary schools to read to the students.
The read Across America Committee will continue the tradition of hosting speakers who are willing to share their favorite passage, short story, or personal reading experience.
