- David Romines, D.M.A., music, theatre, and dance department co-chair, assistant professor of music education, and director of bands at Marywood University, has been selected by the Connecticut Music Educators Association to serve as conductor for the 2016 Connecticut All-State Band Festival.
Band membership was determined through a rigorous series of auditions culminating in a group of approximately ninety performers who are generally recognized as the state’s best players.
Raymond Sinclair, co-chair of the Connecticut All-State Band Festival said, “The Connecticut Music Educators Association is pleased to have a conductor of Romines’ reputation and ability coming to Hartford this April to work with our All-State Band members.”
The festival will take place at the Hartford Marriott Downtown and the Connecticut Convention Center from Thursday, April 28, 2016, through Saturday, April 30, 2016.
