The Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters is a community of credentialed property and casualty insurance professionals who promote excellence through ethical behavior and continuing education.
The CPCU Society is committed to providing resources, educational programs and leadership opportunities that attract talent and enable individuals to expand their technical insurance skills and business capabilities in order to improve the overall performance of the insurance industry while adhering to the highest ethical standards.
The Society’s more than 22,000 members hold the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) designation, which is conferred by The Institutes and requires passing rigorous undergraduate- and graduate-level exams, meeting an experience requirement, and agreeing to be bound by a strict code of professional ethics.
NEPA Chapter
The Northeastern PA Chapter was founded on January 1, 1955 and encompasses the following 10 county regions: Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wayne, Pike, Susquehanna, Bradford, Sullivan, Wyoming, Columbia and Monroe.
NEPA CPCU Scholarship Criteria
- Graduating High School student
- Grade Average Minimum of B+
- College Curriculum: Two or four year school pursuing a career in business
- Preference will be given to a student who has taken any insurance related courses or has worked part time in an insurance agency or company
