MMI inducts students into art honor society

 

(Freeland, PA – March 31, 2014) – MMI Preparatory School held an induction ceremony for students who joined the National Art Honor Society.

This is the third year for the MMI Chroma Chapter of the National Art Honor Society. During the induction ceremony, Assistant Head of School Charles Seidel welcomed guests and art instructor Lisa Ferry explained the purpose of the art honor society. The guest speaker was Mark Dryfoos, an abstract mixed media artist who has created many drawings, paintings and pieces of sculpture. He also serves as MMI’s tennis coach for the boys’ and girls’ tennis coach. Student Charles Bower played a piano piece to conclude the ceremony.

The students inducted into MMI’s Chroma Chapter are Gabriellia Nunez Becker, daughter of Susan Becker, Lake Harmony; Cassandra Bluth, daughter of Gregg and Virginia Bluth, Mountaintop; Carolyn Brennan, daughter of Ailinn Brennan and Andrew Roberts, Jim Thorpe; Keegan Farrell, daughter of Brian and Priscilla Farrell, Mountaintop; Sarah Jamack, daughter of Nancy Jamack, Sugarloaf, and the late William Jamack; Sara Lucas, daughter of Brian and Kathy Lucas, Drums; Madison Luchi, daughter of Mark and Carolyn Luchi, Drums, and Sonja Luchi, Whitehall; Medina Saeed, daughter of Zubeen Saeed, Mountaintop; and Joseph Synoski, son of Joseph and Anita Synoski, Hazle Township.
