SCRANTON, PA (September 25, 2015)—Marywood University’s Women’s Lacrosse team is sponsoring a Jack-O-Lantern 5K Walk/Run, on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. in the Center for Athletics and Wellness, on the University’s campus, and the race begins at 9:30 a.m. This event is open to the public. The cost to participate in the race is $15 and includes the cost of a t-shirt. Pre-register by October 17, 2015, to guarantee t-shirt size on race day. Race day registration will also be available.
Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costume. Gift baskets will be awarded to the two best costumes. A portion of the proceeds from the race will be donated to the St. Francis of Assisi Soup Kitchen, Scranton, Pa.
