SCRANTON, PA (May 25, 2017)—Marywood University’s String Project recently received a grant from The Scranton Area Community Foundation to support the All Saints String Project, a collaboration between Marywood’s String Project, All Saints Academy, and the Diocese of Scranton.

The All Saints String Project is headed by Sophie Till, M.M., clinical assistant professor of violin/viola and director of the String Project at Marywood University; Doreen Dougherty, principal at All Saints Academy; and Monsignor David L. Tressler, Diocese of Scranton.

With the assistance of the Scranton Area Community Foundation grant, Marywood University’s String Project was able to expand over the last academic year into three new satellite programs at All Saints Academy, Scranton; Mountain View Elementary School, Kingsley; and Nativity Miguel School, Scranton.

Students recently gave their second performance at the Marywood String Project Spring Gala Concert.
