Marywood University’s Music, Theatre, and Dance Department to Present Wyoming Seminary Civic Orchestra

 

SCRANTON, PA (January 13, 2016)-Marywood University’s music, theatre, and dance department will present the Wyoming Seminary Civic Orchestra on Monday, January 18, 2015, at 8 p.m., in the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts. This event is free and open to the public.

 

Finnish composer Jean Sibelius’s popular Violin Concerto, is a vehicle for the spectacular skills of violinist John Michael Vaida, one of the region’s most accomplished instrumentalists. Also on the program is Symphony No. 3 by Carl Nielsen, Denmark’s greatest composer and one of the most admired symphonists of the 20th Century.
