Marywood University’s music, theatre, and dance department announces summer concerts and performances at the Calabro Delfino Amphitheatre at the Learning Commons.
On Sunday, August 12, 2018, at 6:30 p.m., vocalist Nicole Rasmus, accompanied by Marty Ort on piano, will perform a concert featuring a wide range of genres including: standards, jazz, Motown, Broadway, and country music. The concert is free and open to the public. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the Fireplace Lounge in the Nazareth Student Center.
Vocalist Chris DiMattio, along with Bill Weber, retired music faculty member at Marywood University, will salute Sinatra on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. Mr. DiMattio and Mr. Weber return to the stage with a jazz band to recreate their signature performance of A Tribute to Frank Sinatra. The concert is free and open to the public. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held on the main stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts.
A solo guitar performance will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at 6 p.m. Mike Mizwinski, “MiZ,” is a soulful, Rock-Americana artist from Northeast Pennsylvania, who is a well-rounded master of both acoustic and electric guitar. The performance is free and open to the public. In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be held in the Fireplace Lounge in the Nazareth Student Center.
