Marywood University’s Music, Theatre, and Dance Department Announces December Performances and Concerts

 

SCRANTON, PA (November 17, 2016)-Marywood University’s music, theatre, and dance (MTD) department announces its December 2016 performances and concerts. All of the events are free and open to the public.

 

Marywood University’s Guitar Ensemble, under the direction of David Truitt, Ph.D., will perform “A Guitar Christmas,” on Friday, December 2, 2016, at 7:30 p.m., in the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life. The program will consist of Christmas and other holiday favorites, which are arranged for the guitar ensemble.

 

The Junior Wind Band Celebration Final Concerts will be presented by the MTD department on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 7 p.m., on the Main Stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts.

 

The University’s Chamber Singers concert will take place on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at 2 p.m., in the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life. The performance will include carols and other light music.

 

The MTD department will present the String Project’s Holiday Concert on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., on the Main Stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts.

 

The Campus Choir and Orchestra will present a Christmas concert on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at 4 p.m., on the Main Stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts.

 

Finally, “An Evening of Strings Concert” will be performed on Monday, December 12, 2016, at 6 p.m., in the Marian Chapel in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.
