Marywood University Students Collect Donations for Local Charities

SCRANTON, PA (January 26, 2016)-Marywood University’s department of communications, sciences, and disorders (CSD), along with its student chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association collected gifts in December to support campus ministry’s Christmas Giving Tree project. Gifts were donated to the United Neighborhood Association, Friends of the Poor, St. Anthony’s Haven, the Community Intervention Center, and Holy Family Residence.

From November through mid-December, trees with ornaments for children of all ages, elderly persons, and homeless individuals, are placed at various locations on the campus of Marywood University. Members of the Marywood community are invited to take an ornament, purchase an appropriate gift, and deliver the unwrapped gift to the University’s campus ministry department.
