Marywood University Student Receives Outstanding Graduate Student Award and Scholarship
SCRANTON, PA (November 13, 2017)—Marywood University graduate student, Isabella DiBileo, Scranton, was recently notified that she will be awarded the 2017 Pennsylvania School Counselors Association (PSCA) Outstanding Graduate Student Award and Scholarship. Ms. DiBileo will receive the award and scholarship at PSCA’s 62nd Annual Conference, which will take place in Hershey, Pa., from November 30 through December 1, 2017.
Ms. DiBileo will graduate from Marywood University’s College of Education and Human Development with a master of science degree in counselor education, PreK-12 school counseling, in spring 2018. She earned her bachelor of science degree in rehabilitation and human services from The Pennsylvania State University in 2016.
Ms. DiBileo is a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the counseling academic and professional honor society; she is a member of the American Counseling Association, American School Counselor Association, and the Pennsylvania School Counselors Association, as well as School Counselors of NEPA. Additionally, she earned dean’s list honors each semester as an undergraduate student. She worked in Marywood University’s office of disability services as a graduate assistant during the 2016-2017 academic year. Ms. DiBileo is a substitute teacher for Kelly Services, where she leads classes in daily activities and follows teachers’ lesson plans while catering to emotional, social, and academic needs of students in K-12 regular, special education, and ESL settings.
Currently doing her practicum at Robert D. Wilson Elementary School, Waymart, Pa., Ms. DiBileo will continue her practicum in the spring semester at Western Wayne High School. She is the daughter of Gary and Christine DiBileo, Scranton. Upon graduation, she plans to remain in Northeast Pennsylvania, where she hopes to pursue a position as a school counselor.
