Marywood University’s Athletic Department, in partnership with the Office of University Admissions, will hold a Student-Athlete Preview Day on Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event is designed as an opportunity for prospective student-athletes to experience campus, learn about academic programs, and meet with coaches, admissions counselors, and financial aid staff.
Registration will take place from 9:30 – 10 a.m., in the Lobby of the Center for Athletics and Wellness. Opening remarks and a welcome will be offered by Mary Jo Gunning, Ed.D., director of athletics and recreation, and Tammy McHale, vice president of business affairs, in the Insalaco Arena, followed by an information session given by Matthew Herr, senior director of admissions. Tours of campus will take place from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., and lunch will be provided to all attendees following the information session.
The Student-Athlete Preview Day coincides with a pair of home athletics events. Marywood’s men’s baseball team will play against Albright at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., the women’s lacrosse team will play against Arcadia at 1 p.m.
Marywood University is an NCAA Division III Institution and a member of the Atlantic East Conference, Landmark Conference (women’s golf and men’s and women’s swimming and diving only), and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Marywood University sponsors 22 varsity programs.
