Marywood University’s Concert Choir, the Wyoming Seminary Civic Orchestra, and The Choral Society of Northeast Pennsylvania will perform a Choral and Orchestra Concert on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 7:30 p.m., at the Kirby Center for Creative Arts at Wyoming Seminary, Kingston; and on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at 2 p.m., on the main stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts at Marywood University.

Maestro Rick Hoffenberg leads more than 200 musicians in the incredible, but seldom-heard masterwork, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis. Composed alongside with his Ninth Symphony, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis stands as one of the most significant and difficult settings of the Ordinary. In the words of Richard Rodda, the ancient text served as “the radioactive core from which the catalyst of Beethoven’s genius cause an explosion of visionary grandeur.”
