Marywood University and SUNY Broome Announce Articulation Agreement
SCRANTON, PA (February 23, 2016)-Marywood University and SUNY Broome have signed an articulation agreement between SUNY Broome’s Associate in Science: Visual Communication Arts program, for students who wish to complete the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design with an emphasis in Photography at Marywood University. This agreement facilitates an easy transfer for SUNY Broome students, and it is predicted that students can earn their bachelor degree in two years at Marywood by following the agreement.
This articulation agreement expands upon the previous agreement between Marywood University and SUNY Broome, which includes SUNY Broome’s Associate in Science: Visual Communication Arts and Marywood’s Bachelor of Arts: Art Therapy Degree. Marywood is also pursuing further agreements with SUNY Broome’s Visual Arts program and anticipates having an agreement signed in graphic design.
Development of articulation agreements with two-year community colleges continues to be a priority of Marywood University, as it eases the transfer process for students in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree. Marywood University partners with local colleges, such as Lackawanna College and Luzerne Community College, and is pursuing articulation agreements with community colleges in New York and New Jersey.
