Marywood University’s Student Veterans Alliance to host
Jeopardy Night at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center
SCRANTON, PA (July 2, 2015)—Marywood University’s Student Veteran’s Alliance (SVA), will host a “Jeopardy Night” activity at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, 402 Penn Avenue, Scranton, Pa., on Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 7-9 p.m.
Joel Lesh, president of the Student Veterans Resource Center at Marywood University, worked with Delores Davis, volunteer resource coordinator at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, to bring the activity to the resident veterans.
“We adjusted the game of Jeopardy to be exclusive military history,” said Mr. Lesh. “This group will be very knowledgeable about that subject,” he continued.
Marywood University’s SVA raises awareness and conducts outreach to enrich the lives of military members, veterans, and their families, both on campus and in the community. Marywood’s SVA gives veterans and their families a place to network with one another, share resources, as well as their experiences while serving in the U.S. Military.
The Gino J. Merli Veterans Center provides a broad spectrum of health care and related services to commonwealth veterans and their eligible spouses who are disabled, chronically ill, or in need of specialized care.
