Cecelia B. Kilcullen has been awarded the Doctor of Audiology degree from Towson University, Towson, Maryland.

 

Dr. Kilcullen defended her doctoral thesis on establishing a simple and reliable bedside hearing screening measure for use in the medical field by practitioners who are not trained to diagnose hearing loss. Her clinical experience includes performing adult and pediatric diagnostic audio-logic evaluations, and conducting adult and pediatric hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and troubleshooting.

 

The daughter of Peter and Jean Kilcullen, Dunmore, Dr. Kilcullen is a graduate of Dunmore High School, and a summa cum laude graduate of West Chester University in 2009, with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

 

Prior to her doctoral studies, Dr. Kilcullen was a school special education teacher and a job coach and job developer for Deaf adults with mental illness. While she was an undergraduate student at West Chester University, she worked for the Center on Hearing and Deafness, a social service agency that served people with hearing loss.

 

Dr. Kilcullen is licensed by the state of Maryland, and is an Audiologist at The Hearing and Speech Agency in Baltimore, Maryland
