Alyssa Sweda, pictured in the second row at right, was selected as MMI’s “Best of the Best” winner for the second semester of the 2017-2018 academic year following an assembly at the school, where ninth and 11th-grade students delivered presentations. Additional “Best of the Best” presenters were: Ella Urosevich, first row at left, who talked about the “Science Behind Sleep,” Jacqueline Snyder, first row at right, who presented about “Kids For Cash,” and Andrew Decker, second row at left, who discussed “Pink Floyd.” The assembly program, which is part of the MMI curriculum, is designed to help MMI students improve and enhance their communication skills, which are important as they progress through high school, college, and beyond. The best student performances are presented twice a year to a joint assembly of both upper school and middle school students and graded by the MMI faculty to determine the “Best of the Best.”
