OFFICE OF TRANSPORTATION Beginning in July, Edella Road will be closed over Leggett’s Creek, located in the vicinity of Edella Road and Willowbrook Road. The district has been notified this project will run at least 6 more weeks as of August 25, 2014.   Below is a summary of bus schedule changes due to this detour. The following will stay in place until Edella Road is reopened. We will make announcements on our district webpage when it is due to reopen.   Middle School Bus Changes   Morning commute  

  1.  Students living between the intersection Edella Rd/Sunnyside Ave and the bridge closure will ride bus #3. The bus stop location is Sunnyside Ave and Montrose Ave at 6:53 a.m. Students will return to their normally scheduled bus #5 when the road reopens.
  2. Students living between the intersection Edella Rd / Fox Run Circle and the bridge closure will ride on bus #7. The bus stop location is Brian Drive and Edella Road at 7:05 a.m. Students will return to their normally scheduled bus #5 when the road reopens.

Afternoon commute  

  1. Students living between the intersection Edella Rd / Fox Run Circle and the bridge closure will continue to ride bus #22 but will utilize the stop at Edella Road and Fox Run Circle at 2:35. Students may return to their regularly scheduled stops on #22 when the road reopens.
  2. Students living between the intersection Edella Rd/Sunnyside Ave and the bridge closure will ride bus #3. The bus stop location is Sunnyside Ave and S. Abington Road at 2:17 p.m. Students will return to their normally scheduled bus #22 when the road reopens.

High School Bus Changes   Morning Commute  

  1. Students living between the intersection Edella Rd/Sunnyside Ave and the bridge closure will continue to ride bus #10 but will utilize the stop at Edella Road and Sunnyside Avenue at 7:27 a.m. Students may return to their regularly scheduled stops on #10 when the road reopens.
  2. Students living between the intersection Edella Rd / Fox Run Circle and the bridge closure will continue to ride bus #10 but will utilize the stop at Edella Road and Fox Run Circle at 7:33 a.m. Students may return to their regularly scheduled stops on #10 when the road reopens.
  3. Bus #10 schedule will be altered until the road reopens. The schedule will be as follows:

  2. Students living between the intersection Edella Rd/Sunnyside Ave and the bridge closure will continue to ride bus #6 but will utilize the stop at Montrose Ave and Sunnyside Avenue at 8:20 a.m. Students may return to their regularly scheduled stops on #6 when the road reopens

South Abington Elementary   Afternoon Commute  

  1. Students living between the intersection Edella Rd/Sunnyside Ave and the bridge closure will ride bus #10. Students utilizing the bus stop located at Sunnyside Ave and Montrose Ave will also ride bus #10. The bus stop location is Sunnyside Ave and Montrose Ave at 3:04 p.m. Students will return to their normally scheduled bus #32 when the road reopens.
  2. Students living between the intersection Edella Rd / Fox Run Circle and the bridge closure will continue to ride bus #32 but will utilize the stop at Edella Road and Fox Run Circle at 3:10 p.m. Students may return to their regularly scheduled stops on #32 when the road reopens.
