rontier Communications donated $3,000 in support of the Abington Heights Educational Improvement Organization (AEIO) to benefit programs within the Abington Heights School District.  The donated funds are part of Frontier’s participation in the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program and promote innovative educational programs that enhance curriculum or academic programs offered by schools or other organizations in the Commonwealth.

The PA EITC offers tax credits to eligible businesses contributing to a state-approved scholarship organization, an educational improvement organization, and/or a pre-kindergarten scholarship organization.   The businesses may direct their donations to specific organizations from a list of eligible participants listed on the PA EITC website.

In 2013, Frontier is donating $225,000 overall through the PA EITC program to support scholarships for private education and educational improvement initiatives approved by the state.

“At Frontier, we are proud to give back to the communities in which we live and work,” said Elena Kilpatrick, Area General Manager, Frontier Communications.   “We are especially pleased to support PA EITC to help foster innovative programs, such as Robotics, Arts Alive and Odyssey of the Mind, that benefit students and the overall community.
