Marywood University Appoints Associate Vice President for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness Marywood University President, Sister Anne Munley, IHM, Ph.D., has announced the appointment of Kathleen O’Neill Ruthkosky, Ph.D., to the newly formed position of Associate Vice President for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness. The Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness is charged with leading and directing the University’s student learning outcomes assessment and the University’s accreditation processes. Dr. Ruthkosky received her master of science degree in early childhood education from Marywood University and her Ph.D. in instructional systems, with a minor area of study in adult education, from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to her new appointment, Dr. Ruthkosky served as the Director of Learning Outcomes Assessment and Accreditation since 2011. She was also a faculty member and chairperson of Marywood’s education department for many years. Dr. Ruthkosky resides in Scranton, Pa.
