2016-2017 SADD Club Officers and Representatives
The West Scranton High School chapter of the SADD club recently selected its officers and class representatives for the 2016-2017 school year (R to L):
Haley Leonard – President
Brianna Strein – Sophomore class representative
Tyler Profka – Treasurer / Junior class representative
Nori Zaccheo – Senior class representative
Ava Palermo – Freshman class representative
Milagros Cervantes – Secretary / Vice President
The SADD club dedicates itself to encouraging students to avoid destructive decisions by becoming involved in community activities. The club members kicked off this school year by offering “Contracts for Life” to the student body of West Scranton High School as a means of opening communication between students and their families.
The annual Red Ribbon Week celebration helped to raise awareness for the consequences of making destructive decisions.
As a special activity conducted this year, members of the SADD club sought donations and assembled Halloween treat bags for a local shelter. This event was introduced to the club by sophomore club president, Haley Leonard.
Upcoming events include club participation in the annual Festival of Trees and the annual Holiday Safe Driving Campaign.
