Saturday’s St. Patrick Day, and that can only mean it’s time for the wearin’ o’ the … blue?! Yes, blue.
As strange as it seems to us now, the color originally associated with St. Pat was not emerald, but azure. However, owing to the holiday’s spring timing, the colors of the Irish flag, and that whole, well, Emerald Isle thing, green has become the color we now associate with March 17.
As we explained a few posts ago, we like to get into the spirit of the season by choosing a festive color for our cover. And, no, we didn’t go with that old-fashioned blue; look for this week’s spiffy green cover, complete with shamrocks.
