Marywood University’s Professional Continuing Education Program to Hold Therapy Workshop

 

SCRANTON, PA (April 25, 2017)—Marywood University’s Professional Continuing Education Program will hold a “Brief Therapy Practices and Lifestyle Changes to Enhance Recovery” workshop on Friday, June 9, 2017, from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., in the Upper Main Dining Hall, in the Nazareth Student Center, on the University’s campus.

 

The workshop is appropriate for all levels of clinical practitioners, particularly those in inpatient and outpatient settings who work with clients with mental health, addiction, and/or behavior issues.

 

The “Brief Therapy Practices and Lifestyle Changes to Enhance Recovery” workshop is Pennsylvania Certification Board approved for six hours for addiction counselors, certified case managers, and prevention specialists; Marywood University is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors to offering continuing education for National Certified Counselors – six (6) hours; six hours professional development ACT 48 hours for educators; Marywood University is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists – six (6) hours; and six continuing education hours (CE’s) for social workers in the states of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania LSW licensure renewal.
