Marywood University’s Music, Theatre, Dance Department Announces Upcoming Events

 

SCRANTON, PA (November 17, 2017)—Marywood University’s music, theatre, and dance department will offer concerts and performances for all ages throughout the month of December. All of the events are free and open to the public.

 

  • A Guitar Christmas Concert will be performed on Friday, December 1, 2017, at 7:30 p.m., at the Marian Chapel, in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.
  • The Junior Wind Band Celebration Concert will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 7 p.m., on the main stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts.
  • The Chamber Singers Concert will be performed on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at 2 p.m., in the Marian Chapel, in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.
  • Marywood University’s music program will provide Christmas entertainment as the campus community kicks off the season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at 4 p.m., in the Rotunda, in the Liberal Arts Center
  • The Wind Symphony Concert will be performed on Wednesday, December, 6, 2017, at 7 p.m., at the Holy Family Residence, 2500 Adams Avenue, Scranton, Pa.
  • The University’s Concert Choir Concert will take place on Saturday, December 9, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 10, 2017, at 3 p.m., in the Historic Rotunda, in the Liberal Arts Center, on the University’s campus.
  • The music, theatre, and dance department presents its Vocal Recital, which will take place on Monday, December 11, 2017, at 8 p.m., in the Marian Chapel, in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.
  • An Evening of Strings Concert will be performed on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at 6 p.m., in the Marian Chapel, in the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life.
  • The String Project Concert will be performed on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 6:30 p.m., on the main stage of the Sette LaVerghetta Center of Performing Arts.
