West Scranton Freshman Earns Presidential Award
West Scranton freshman Dakota Adams recently earned the Bronze Presidential Award for volunteer service. The award is given to teens who perform at least 50-74 hours of service within a 12-month period. Dakota has dedicated numerous hours, throughout 2018 until now, volunteering at the Steamtown National Historic Site. Along with the ultimate honor of presidential recognition, recipients of this award receive a personalized certificate, an official medallion, and a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States.
